Biological Indicators
Our sterilization Biological Indicators are used to check the efficiency of a sterilization process. They are designed to confirm the presence or absence of viable microorganisms after the sterilization process. The biological indicator contains spores that are the most resistant to the sterilization method used. Available for Humid Heat (steam), Flash Vapor, Ethylene Oxide and Hydrogen Peroxide. The indicators contain bacterial spores in supported on a filter paper, inside a thermoplastic container. Place the biological indicators along with the sterilization items, and after completing the sterilization process, break the glass vial containing the culture medium to allow the solution to come into contact with the bacterial agar plate. Incubate at a temperature of 34 to 37°C. After 48 hours of incubation, the final result will be available. If the sterilization process is successful, the culture medium will remain the same color as it was initially, but if the sterilization process has failed, the culture medium will turn yellow or become transparent.
